Global broker WTW has announced the appointment of Benjamin Williams as director of property and casualty pricing and analytics within its Insurance Consulting and Technology (ICT) business. He will be based in Chicago and will report to Laura Doddington, head of personal lines, North America, ICT.
In his new role, Williams will focus on creating and implementing analytics and predictive modeling within organizations. His primary focus will be on delivering analytics to clients and deploying WTW’s proprietary tools to assist insurers in analyzing data, making data-driven decisions, and executing strategic actions in the market.
“I am delighted to have the opportunity to bring Ben back to WTW, where he previously spent nine years in our New York and Spain offices,” Doddington said. “His unique skill set around technical applications and predictive analytics will help us in accelerating both training internal analysts to develop similar skills, while concurrently focusing on helping insurers deploy analytical solutions to improve performance and build a better experience for customers.”
Williams brings to the role a wealth of experience in predictive analytics and related platforms, gained through various internal consulting roles at Liberty and Allianz in New Zealand and Europe. Upon relocating to the United States, he joined WTW and quickly became proficient in the company’s insurance software, guiding clients on its functionality and training internal specialists to become experts.
Following his tenure at WTW, Williams joined United Fore Group, an Iowa-based commercial lines insurer, where he led the analytics team before deciding to rejoin WTW.
