WTW has hired Gavin Hamilton (pictured) to serve as a director within the company’s international property team in London.

Hamilton brings over three decades of industry experience to the broking giant, having previously led the European wholesale and South African property markets at Miller Insurance Services. In his new role, Hamilton will report to international property head Edward Day.

“Gavin’s extensive industry knowledge and experience will be greatly valued within our existing talented and diverse team,” Day stated. “His strong relationships with markets and clients will undoubtedly support the growth and success of the business, and we look forward to having him on board.”

Commenting on his appointment, Hamilton said: “I am delighted to be joining WTW and bringing my industry experience for the benefit of both clients and markets. “WTW’s specialised industry-focused approach matched with diverse and innovative talent was a huge attraction to join. I am very much looking forward to working with Ed and the team.”

“WTW has consistently stayed ahead of financial innovations and the corresponding risks by addressing the evolving needs of our clients,” Jeremy Wall, global head of FINEX (financial, professional, and executive Risks), recently noted.

“The creation of this taskforce is a strategic move to address the unique challenges presented by the fintech and digital assets ecosystems.”

Co-led by Anthony Rapa and Trenton McNee, the team’s primary focus includes developing customised insurance solutions that address the distinct risks of fintech and digital assets and leveraging advanced analytics to assist clients in navigating the complexities of these risks.
