World Travel Protection announces new technical product director
In his new role, Laidlaw will be the lead liaison between clients, the sales community, and all third-party suppliers to refine product functions. He will also oversee the WTP Travel Risk Management (TRM) Solution, WTP Risk Intelligence, and other key vendors encompassing the company’s TRM solution. He will be based in Brisbane, Australia, and report to WTP CEO Adrian Leach.
Commenting on his new role, Laidlaw said: “I’m excited to be leading the overall TRM product strategy, gathering feedback, and engaging customers regarding product enhancements and the optimum rollout of features.
“I look forward to working with WTP’s global customer success team and cultivating excellent commercial working relationships with all vendors.”

WTP is also building its leadership team globally, most recently appointing Mike Nole as WTP executive vice president, sales and marketing.
Nole joins WTP from Cigna, where he spent 12 years, most recently as the head of business development for global IPMI. In this role, he grew the insurer’s global medical insurance business through broker distribution and strategic partnerships in the Americas and delivering tailored solutions to its globally mobile customers to improve their health, well-being, and peace of mind.
In his new role at WTP, Nole will be based in North America and willlead a growing marketing and sales team across Australia, North America, and EMEA to bring WTP’s comprehensive solutions to businesses, governments, scholastic travellers, and NGOs.
