World Insurance Associates (WIA) has announced its acquisition of JBL Trinity Group of Atlantic Highlands, effective January 1, 2024.

While the financial details of the merger remain undisclosed, this transaction is expected to mark a significant expansion for World Insurance Associates.

Founded in October 1997, JBL has carved a niche for itself by offering an array of insurance products, including auto, home, and business insurance. The firm specializes in maritime and New York City construction insurance and provides a unique national roller-skating program.

Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla provided legal counsel to World, with Sica Fletcher acting as its advising firm. On the other side, Betancourt, Greco & Evans LLC offered legal advice to JBL, with The Manhattan Group serving as their consultant. The announcement did not disclose any other firms involved in due diligence or legal counsel.

Joseph DiMattina, CEO of JBL Trinity, expressed his enthusiasm for the acquisition, highlighting the shared values between the two companies.

“It has always been our belief that our clients are our partners and must be treated with honesty and respect. Honor, trust, integrity and ingenuity are the core principles which guide us in our daily pursuit of providing exceptional service to our client partners,” DiMattina stated.

DiMattina also spoke on his enthusiasm for joining forces with World, a company that mirrors JBL’s commitment to these principles, he claimed.

Rich Eknoian, CEO and co-founder of World Insurance Associates, also welcomed JBL into the expanding brokerage.

“I would like to welcome JBL to the World family. I know Joe and his team will be a great addition to our organization,” he said.

In other recent developments, WIA has announced several appointments to mark an expansion of its leadership team.

Earlier this month, the brokerage revealed the appointment of Renae Flanders as its new chief financial officer. Meanwhile, in January, the firm also added John Peterson to its ranks as its new chief growth officer, with predecessor Frank Costa transitioning to the role of national growth leader.
