Wittle Wadder Beer Takes The Piss Out Of Overlanders

Goldwater Brewing Co. out of Scottsdale, Arizona is brewing up comedy with its Wittle Wadder witbier, capitalizing upon a viral TikTok that mocks Toyota 4Runner owners who have fitted their SUVs with rugged looking yet rarely useful ladders. This microbrewery is either about to make a ton of money off of wannabe overlanders, or make a lot of enemies out of broverlanders who suffer from exceedingly fragile masculinity.

These ladders are useful accessories for folks who use rooftop tents and for folks who pack goods on their trucks roof, but when you see these wittle wadders on 4Runners that don’t even have a roof rack, you know they’re bolting on a little extra clout.

The Wittle Wadder witbier from Goldwater Brewing Co. currently has a respectable 3.7 out of 5 stars on Untappd, and it is described as a wheat beer with notes of orange peel and coriander. Honestly I am surprised it’s not a trendy double IPA, but that hoppy flavor profile is probably too intense for the broverlander crowd.

The TikTok video that started this baby voice light-hearted mockery of wannabe off-roaders was originally posted by automotive photographer Motionz back in 2020, and has garnered over 3.7 million views since then. Goldwater Brewing Co. even made their own TikTok video using the original audio to market this bwilliantly named wheat beer.

The can reads, “Climb up your Wittle Wadder to the top of your woof in the wain, in the wiver.” My favorite touch on the can is the graphic of the rear of a Toyota 4Runner with a “pwo” badge on the rear hatch, applying the baby voice schtick to the Pro badge. Well done.

The Goldwater Brewing Co. website shows that the Widdle Wadder witbier is on tap at Goldwater’s Longbow Taproom in East Mesa, Arizona, and at its Crossings Taproom in South Tempe, Arizona. Considering that these regions in Arizona are already populated with plenty of lifted truck drivers and weekend warriors wielding widdle wadders, we hope this brilliant beer is a big hit and Goldwater Brewing can take this beer overland to other markets, too.

In all seriousness, Toyota’s 4Runner TRD Pro is an incredibly capable and reliable truck that is ready to go directly from the showroom floor to remote trails that leave lesser vehicles spinning their wheels in the 4Runner’s dust. This witbier is likely to be a great companion for beer lovers who also happen to love taking their brews with them on their wilderness expeditions, or for the beer drinkers who appreciate a good beer with a good name.
