BIBA’s small, busy membership team seeks a flexible, enthusiastic person with strong administration and organisational skills and a passion for customer service and organising events.

Position Description

BIBA is the membership organisation for, and the voice of the UK general insurance brokers’ sector. We represent and promote the interests of insurance brokers and their customers. We work with Government and the insurance industry and other stakeholders, to promote the role of brokers and to enhance access to insurance for consumers and businesses.

Key skills/attributes

– Ability to organise and plan to tight deadlines with appropriate flexibility where necessary

– Experience with webinar and CRM systems

– Confidence in chasing and managing responses from various internal and external stakeholders

– Attention to detail is essential

– Customer service focus

_ Experience of administering events

_ Competent in Microsoft Office 365

Job Description

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY

To provide administrative support and assistance to the Membership Department and Commercial Department.  To manage and administer regional and central events.

Duties Include:

 Membership

 To assist with the integrity and accuracy of the data held on the membership system.

To assist with general administration duties as required.
Assist with the production of internally produced and externally distributed membership information (e.g.
new member packs, newsletters, key achievements information, communications register forms etc.).
Responding/dealing with email/hard copy bounce backs.
Chasing departmental outstanding payers
Manage and administer regional events
Deal with administration from broker panel members i.e. changes to classes of insurance, distribution of
monthly invoicing and distribution of transfers to accommodate broker panel staffing issues etc.
Assist with monitoring enquiries, regional events and membership team inboxes
Webinar administration
To undertake ad hoc work as and when requested.

 Broker ASSESS

 To help provide customer care and user support – handling user licence queries, amendments, new licences etc.
To assist with marketing of the Broker ASSESS package to both BIBA members and non-members, via all available channels and arranging trials as required.

General

 Ad hoc, cross-departmental duties, as required.
Manage and administer central events.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Job type: temporary 12-14 months, 35 hours per week
Salary: Dependent on experience with completion bonus
Hybrid of WFH & Office based – central London (EC3A)
Company pension scheme and interest free season ticket loan (after qualifying period)
Annual leave of 23 days pa plus bank holidays and office closures.
Notice period: two months
