USAA has announced the donation of four National Auto Body Council (NABC) Recycled Rides in support of veterans, as well as their communities.

The program aims to provide reliable transportation to veterans and their families, with restored cars to be given to deserving military families.

“We are honored to continue our support for veterans and their families through the NABC Recycled Rides program,” said USAA Property and Casualty President Randy Termeer.

“These vehicles represent more than just transportation; they symbolize our gratitude for the sacrifices made by our service members,” he added.

Deserving recipients of the program were nominated by non-profit organizations. The vehicles that were donated for the program were repaired and donated in partnership of NABS and others within the collision repair industry.

The vehicle that will be gifted on May 15 in the greater Chicago area was restored by the employee volunteers at Gerber Collision Glass. Its recipient received a nomination from the VFW – Post 2245.

USAA first made the announcement of the program in April, with the first of the four vehicles to be donated, restored by Fix Auto Poway employee volunteers, being presented on April 21 in San Diego, California. Its recipient was nominated by organization Support the Enlisted Project (STEP).

USAA is a provider of insurance, banking, and retirement solutions which serves members of the US military, veterans, and their families. Every year, the firm provides contributions to national and local non-profits that support military families and their communities.

Formed in 2007, the NABC Recycled Rides program consists of businesses from the collision repair industry teaming up to repair and donate vehicles to those who are in need of their own reliable transportation. To date, the program has donated more than 2,400 vehicles which total a value of more than $34 million.
