Amwins International Underwriting, the London-based arm of global specialty distributor Amwins, has named Keith Trivitt (pictured) as underwriting director for its Amplify portfolio solution.

The cross-class product suite, introduced in June 2023, is exclusively accessible through brokers associated with Amwins Global Risks and operates as an automated follow-form facility led by Beazley’s Smart Tracker Syndicate 5623.

“With his proven experience of portfolio solutions, his hire is an example of our commitment and desire to attract underwriting talent to the London-based team. Keith will continue to build upon Amplify’s underwriting offering and work to further expand the best-in-class tracker facility.”

Trivitt brings extensive experience in portfolio solutions from both carrier and distributor perspectives to the managing general agent. He previously served at AXIS Capital, where he was in charge of portfolio solutions.

Commenting on his new role, Trivitt said: “I’m excited to find new ways to deliver capacity across several lines of business and enhancing our distribution and ability to access capacity. The portfolio solutions market is rapidly evolving, and I look forward to Amplify playing a key role in this space.”

The appointment marks another significant step in the expansion of Amwins’ underwriting team in London. It follows the hiring of Simon Jackson in November 2023 and the acquisition of a box at Lloyd’s earlier this year.

In the US, recent developments at Amwins include the merger of MGAs Amwins Transportation Underwriters and National Truck Underwriting Managers to form Amwins National Transportation Underwriters.

“By combining these two well-respected brands, we can drive forward even greater impact on the industry through unparalleled market access and outstanding customer service,” Ryan Armijo, president of the underwriting division at Amwins, said at the time.
