Travel insurer battleface has teamed up with female-focused insurer Stella Insurance to improve traveller experience.

The partnership aims to provide Australian travellers with a customisable and seamless travel experience by combining battleface’s modular API functionality and Stella’s digital solution.

The deal will enable Stella travellers to customise their travel insurance coverage according to their destinations and travel-related needs and activities. It will also streamline travellers’ experience and offer flexibility and reassurance to women who travel to new places.

The standard travel insurance cover includes protection against trip cancellation of up to $40,000 per person, personal liability cover of up to $2.5 million, and unlimited emergency medical and additional expenses cover (for up to 12 months of treatment). Policyholders can also access battleface’s in-house claims and 24/7 emergency assistance and customer service.

Partnership to help women become more confident when travelling

Stella Insurance COO Renee Cosgrave said the collaboration with battleface focuses on innovating and providing flexible travel insurance with features to help women become more confident when travelling, including unexpected complications to pregnancy cover, child minding services for parents and carers, and domestic violence cover.

“Like Stella Insurance, battleface is like no other; an innovative, fresh, future-thinker that stands out from the crowd and will play a major part in Stella Insurance’s future achievements,” Cosgrave said. “The number one thing that we look for in a partner is aligned values as well as having a shared vision to support Stella’s purpose of challenging the status quo to create a more gender equal world. Beyond this, we look for partners that have an appetite to collaborate in developing products and features that are female focused to drive growth and deliver real impact; battleface ticked all these boxes.”
