Tower partners with HealthCarePlus to provide insurance benefits to education and public sectors

Tie-up will give members access to products such as house, contents, and motor insurance

New Zealand-based insurer Tower has announced a partnership with HealthCarePlus to provide members of education and public services unions access to several of its products such as house, contents, and motor insurance.

With the partnership, Tower will be joining a group of providers that currently offer benefits to union members such as access to a discounted life insurance, health and wellbeing programmes, and healt care benefits.

“Tower is proud to partner with a like-minded Kiwi organisation to offer more New Zealanders easier access to insurance. HealthCarePlus is a not-for-profit that supports the member unions for some of Aotearoa’s most valuable professions, we feel incredibly honoured to support them,” said Tower managing director of partnerships Jonathan Beale.

HealthCarePlus is jointly owned by five education unions as well as the Public Services Association, which supports more than 180,000 members across the teaching, tertiary, and public service sectors.

Apart from HealthCarePlus, other businesses have joined Tower such as CSC Buying Group, Coastguard New Zealand, Ray White, Kiwi Adviser Network, TSB and Kiwibank. Members will also be able to access Tower products through its website and member platform.

“At HealthCarePlus we aim to improve the physical, mental, and financial health and wellbeing of our members and their whānau,” said John Seed, the chief executive of HealthCarePlus.

“Partnering with Tower not only helps us bolster our member offering but helps us take another step in protecting New Zealand by way of supporting crucial roles such as teaching and the delivery of public services,” he added.

HealthCarePlus is currently supporting more than 180,000 members across the sectors of teaching, tertiary and public service sectors. It aims to create real and lasting values for their members through offering numerous member benefits.
