Top insurers shine at FSC 2024 Awards
Winners recognised for enhancing New Zealanders’ financial wellbeing and confidence

The Financial Services Council of New Zealand (FSC) has announced the winners of its 2024 awards, recognising achievements in New Zealand’s financial services industry.
The awards were presented at the FSC Awards Dinner, held in conjunction with the FSC24 Conference in Auckland.
“The quality of the entries and the number of great outcomes that have been a result of the work on show meant some challenging decisions for the judges,” she said.
FSC 2024 Awards
Nearly 40 entries were received for this year’s awards, covering a broad spectrum of contributions, from individual efforts to team initiatives and community programs.
The awards aim to acknowledge the impact these efforts have on both the financial services industry and the wider community.
The event was sponsored by PwC New Zealand.

Contribution to Community Award – sponsored by Fisher Funds

Highly Commended: Tatou Social Supermarket – Māngere Budgeting Services Trust
Emerging Trailblazer Award – sponsored by Swiss Re
Winner: Leigh Bennett, Fidelity Life
Highly Commended: Charlotte Cockrell, Fidelity Life; Seema Bangera, Asteron Life
Fidelity Life CEO Campbell Mitchell congratulated Bennett for receiving the award for her efforts to improve access to financial advice and insurance.
“This recognition celebrates her contribution and inspires us to continue our mission of making a meaningful difference for New Zealand,” he said.
Excellence in Governance Award – sponsored by Fidelity Life
Winner: The Compliance Company
Workplace Savings Award – sponsored by PwC New Zealand
Winner: Bruce Kerr, Professional Trustee
Excellence in Sustainability Practices Award – sponsored by PwC New Zealand
AIA New Zealand, which received the Excellence in Sustainability Practices Award for the second year in a row, expressed appreciation for the continued recognition.
The company reaffirmed its commitment to sustainability and to supporting the health and wellbeing of New Zealanders.
Excellence in Wellbeing & Inclusion Award – sponsored by Swiss Re
Commenting on the award, Southern Cross Health Insurance (SCHI) acknowledged its focus on fostering an inclusive workplace. It also credited its team for helping create a healthy and supportive environment for all employees.
Team of the Year Award – sponsored by PwC New Zealand
Winner: Operations Team, Sharesies
Highly Commended: Business Transformation and Customer Engagement Team, ASB Bank
Chair’s Award for Services to the Industry – sponsored by PwC New Zealand
Winner: Ana-Marie Lockyer, CEO of Pie Funds
Stroud commended the participants’ contributions to enhancing New Zealanders’ financial wellbeing and confidence.
