The Liberty Company Insurance Brokers has added Katie Pope, Esq. (pictured) and Peter Barsky to its roster as vice presidents. Pope is coming on board as VP of executive lines, while Barsky will serve as small commercial practice leader.

Pope’s extensive background in insurance, with a strong focus on cyber coverage, began at Lockton. She brings privacy coverage expertise to Liberty where the new executive lines VP will support producers with complex placements. Her remit will also include prospecting and requests for proposals.

“I’m excited to join The Liberty Company because of its renowned entrepreneurial spirit,” Pope commented. “This environment offers the opportunity to innovate within the insurance industry and shape solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients.

“It’s thrilling to be part of a team that values forward-thinking and proactive problem-solving.”

Barsky, meanwhile, had this to say: “What drew me to Liberty was the palpable sense of embracing entrepreneurial spirit alongside a strong culture of service and collaboration. It’s an environment where innovation thrives, and I’m thrilled to be part of a team that shares my passion for driving meaningful impact.”

With over 20 years in the insurance industry, Barsky will be integral to the small commercial business division. He will work closely with Liberty’s partners, producers, relationship managers, and account managers to help drive sales and revenue, improve processes, and strengthen carrier relationships.
