The Devitt Insurance MCN London Motorcycle Show is a roaring success!

London’s largest and most interactive motorcycle event, the 2024 Devitt Insurance MCN London Motorcycle Show, came to a close on Sunday after a thrilling three days in the capital.

An enormous 31,285 motorcycle fans descended to London’s ExCel for the 2024 Devitt Insurance MCN London Motorcycle show, where visitors were treated to a host of exhilarating action, including the all-new Extreme Enduro races, live stage talks from the biggest names in motorcycling, and London’s largest collection of new metal from leading manufacturers.

On Friday, MotoGP World Championship contender and fan favourite Jorge Martin was the show’s Guest of Honour, giving ticket holders the rare opportunity to meet the Prima Pramac Racing rider who delighted fans with on-stage stories from inside the paddock alongside TNT Sports MotoGP pundit, Michael Laverty and MCN’s Michael Guy.

A selection of lucky ticket holders were also given an exclusive VIP meet and greet with Jorge Martin and Alpinestars after Martin revealed the new Alpinestars Supertech R-10 helmet to the public for the first time in the UK.

Martin’s attendance at the show marks one of his only public appearances outside the MotoGP paddock this year.

The all-star line up across the three-day event also included appearances from top racers and the biggest motorcycling names in TV.

2023 British Superbike champion Tommy Bridewell, 23-time Isle of Man TT winner John McGuinness, fastest road racer on the planet, TT lap record holder and British Superbike rider Peter Hickman were all on the new MCN World of Bikes stage roster, as well as current and former racing stars Glenn Irwin, Ryan Vickers, Michael Rutter, Michael Laverty and James Witham.

Visitors also heard the MCN team’s expert views on 2024 machinery, the latest riding kit and more across the weekend.

Global motorcycle adventurer and TV’s Charley Boorman hosted the new-for-2024 Adventure Base Camp Stage, sharing expert tips and advice featuring other globetrotting motorcyclists.

The stage was packed with the best names in the adventure riding world, including the youngest pair to circumnavigate the globe on a motorcycle Lavi and Ollie, adventurers Nathan Millward, The Sidecar Guys, Steph Jeavons, Tiffany Coates, photographers Simon and Lisa Thomas, and Guliafshan Tariq.

Henry Cole’s Ready To Ride Workshop was another brand new stage for this year’s show, hosted by The Motorbike Show’s Henry Cole, Allen Millyard and Guy “Skid” Willison.

Ticket holders witnessed a live Weslake Triton restoration, learnt DIY bike servicing tips, and heard ear-bursting fire ups of Millyard’s six-cylinder RC374 machine.

One of the biggest draws of this year’s show was the new Extreme Enduro races. The London show’s debut of the extreme event saw some of the sport’s leading British riders, including Will Hoare, Charlie Frost, Richard Moorhouse and James Jackson, go head-to-head and tackle punishing obstacles against the clock, with each heat seeing packed crowds surround the arena.

As well as thrilling live action, The Devitt Insurance MCN London Motorcycle Show boasted the largest collection of new and historic motorcycles in the capital.

New model highlights on display included the UK debut of Triumph’s highly anticipated TF 250-X motocross bike as well as the new Daytona 660 and Yamaha’s new XSR900 GP complete with lower fairing kit.

Triumph’s single cylinder 400cc Speed and Scrambler X models proved popular, as did Kawasaki’s new Ninja 7 Hybrid, ZX-4RR and ZX-6R machines, KTM’s latest 1390 Super Duke R, the fully faired Suzuki GSX-8R, BMW’s R13000 GS adventure bike, as well as packed stands for MV Agusta, CFMoto, BSA, Royal Enfield, Harley-Davidson, and Kymco.

Honda and Norton offered exclusive test rides on their newest models, and the National Motorcycle Museum featured a 60-bike strong Celebration of Innovation classic display celebrating its 40th anniversary.

The collection saw machines from the pioneer era, through to icons of the 1960s and beyond, showcasing the evolution of motorcycles through the decades.
