Managing general underwriter Sutton Entertainment has announced the appointment of Susan Wallis (pictured) as senior vice president of strategy effective this month.

Prior to joining Sutton Entertainment, Wallis held the role of Canadian operations director at Arthur J. Gallagher, where she managed insurance needs for both Canadian domestic productions and US productions filming in Canada. Before her tenure at Gallagher, Wallis served as vice president at Aon/Ruben-Winkler Canada.

The key hire brings more than three decades of experience as an insurance broker to Sutton Entertainment. Wallis holds several professional designations, including the Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker, Chartered Insurance Professional, and Canadian Risk Management licenses.

Chief executive Greg Sutton commented: “We are excited to welcome Susan to Sutton Entertainment as we continue to grow our film and entertainment business in Canada and further enhance our capabilities for US expansion.

“Susan brings with her an industry-leading reputation for expertise, trusted relationships, and an unwavering dedication to service.”

Sutton Entertainment specializes in insurance solutions tailored for the film and entertainment industry, offering products such as its entertainment package, errors and omissions, casualty, and guild accident insurance.

The CEO previously said: “We are thrilled to partner with Amynta, who shares our vision and ambitions for the business.

“Joining forces with Amynta marks a pivotal milestone in the success and future of Sutton, setting the stage for our next chapter of growth. We look forward to continuing to provide our customers with the same high-quality service and solutions.”
