Reinsurance technology platform Supercede has announced the appointment of Sarah Pearson (pictured above) as its first senior operations manager.

Pearson, who previously worked at carbon data specialist SparkChange, will begin her new role immediately, reporting directly to Supercede’s co-founder and president, Ben Rose.

Prior to joining Supercede, Pearson served as chief of staff at SparkChange, a position she held since 2020. She also has experience with IT business Global Switch and carbon emissions specialist C2Zero.

Pearson’s hiring follows Supercede’s recent $15 million Series A funding secured in June. The company indicated that this funding has accelerated the growth of its operations, with Pearson’s appointment being a key part of its strategy to expand and innovate within the reinsurance industry.

Rose stated that Pearson’s addition to the team represents a significant advancement in the company’s expansion efforts.

“With strong management skills honed across a range of industries, her steady hand is exactly what we need to guide us into and beyond this next exciting stage of our journey. Sarah will be a central force in binding us together as we continue on our ambitious but necessary mission of reshaping the reinsurance industry,” Rose said.

Founded in 2019 and headquartered in London, Supercede is a reinsurance technology platform designed to enhance the interactions between insurers, brokers, and reinsurers. Supercede’s tools automate data preparation and deal management, facilitating real-time strategic decision-making.

In April, the company also named Tom Spier as its chief commercial officer. As chief commercial officer, Spier is expected to lead further development of Supercede’s market strategies and operations.

“I am thrilled to step into this role at such a crucial time for our company,” Spier said. “This past year’s growth has shown what we are capable of, and I am excited to lead our talented team as we continue to innovate and expand our reach in the global market.”
