Sun Life has announced the renewal of its partnership with Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group, cementing the insurer’s role as presenting partner of Cirque du Soleil Touring Shows in Canada.
As part of the collaboration, Sun Life and Cirque du Soleil held a special event attended by nine young individuals aged 11 to 12.
The event, held at Cirque du Soleil’s Montreal headquarters, saw the children participate in acrobatic activities led by circus artists.
Sun Life also gave each young participant a monetary gift to help them “take the first step in investing and achieving their dreams,” a press release from the insurer said.
Additionally, a Sun Life advisor had been on hand to teach them about the importance of financial planning.
Jacques Goulet, president of Sun Life Canada, called Cirque du Soleil a “shining example of making the impossible possible through creativity, collaboration, and preparation” and said their continued partnership with the group is aimed at inspiring Canadians to take a similar approach when it comes to securing their financial future.
“Financial health is critical to overall wellbeing, but for many Canadians, it can feel like a daunting challenge,” said Goulet. “By planning, leveraging creative solutions, and working with the right team, Canadians can achieve their biggest dreams, including lifetime financial security.”
Cirque du Soleil CEO Stéphane Lefebvre commented on the renewed partnership and said the group’s commitment “goes beyond the performance.”
“We are thrilled to reaffirm our partnership with Sun Life to foster long-lasting relationships with Canadians in a creative and inspirational manner,” said Lefebvre. “The natural synergy between our brands presents an amazing realm of opportunities for the future.”
