Brace Underwriting Limited has hired Michael Davis as a senior underwriter. Based in London, England, Davis will report to underwriting head Tom Sambrook.

In his new role, Davis will collaborate closely with Sambrook to shape Brace’s underwriting strategy, manage client relationships, and optimize the company’s portfolio. Leveraging his deep expertise in the Canadian property and casualty market, he aims to enhance this segment of Brace’s book of business.

Davis joins Brace with over 13 years of industry experience. He previously served as a property underwriter at Tokio Marine Kiln where he began his career as a graduate trainee in 2010. He was promoted to property claim adjuster in 2012 before transitioning to underwriting in 2015.

Adam Holberry, group chief executive of Brace, commented: “Brace is heavily invested in attracting market-leading talent to elevate its underwriting strategy, and Mike will be an excellent addition to the team.

“His experience in claims and underwriting, especially in the Canadian P&C market, will be invaluable as we look to build out our portfolio further, and I look forward to working with him.”

Davis expressed his enthusiasm: “Brace’s innovative approach to underwriting and ability to meet the rising market demand for tailored insurance products made joining this brilliant team a simple choice.

“I look forward to working with Adam and Tom, tapping into my previous knowledge to continue developing their underwriting approach.”
