Sedgwick has announced the appointment of Mary Ann Anderson and Devin Shillington as regional managers for Canada.
Anderson will oversee operations in Atlantic Canada, while Shillington will be responsible for the Western region. They will also continue serving as vice presidents of sales for their respective regions.
A press release from Sedgwick said these recent moves are in response to growing demand across all of its business lines in the Canadian market.
Anderson worked as an adjuster and sales representative in Atlantic Canada for most of her career before joining Sedgwick in 2019. She is a member of the Ontario Insurance Adjusters Association (OIAA), the Insurance Institute of Canada (IIC), and the Canadian Independent Adjusters’ Association (CIAA), where she also served as president of the Atlantic region.
Shillington joined Sedgwick four years ago and has a 15-year background in the carrier market focused on claims and claims-related solutions. He is also a member of the IIC and CIAA.
As regional managers, the two will play a crucial role in promoting transparency and providing greater visibility into the claims management operations of their respective regions, Sedgewick said.
“With more than 50 years’ combined experience serving — and growing — their customer base, Mary Ann and Devin bring to their regional leadership roles the same enthusiasm and drive that have made them successful in business development,” said Mike Alwyn, Sedgwick president for Canada.
“They will assist operations while remaining in tune with the market. The Sedgwick team in Canada is uniquely positioned to respond to our customers and their changing needs with the best solutions available in the industry.”
The appointments follows Sedgewick’s recent announcement of new adjuster hires in Canada, including Nabil Maroun’s appointment as an executive general adjuster in the major and complex loss division.
