The International Insurance Society (IIS) is set to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of the Reinsurance Group of America’s (RGA) Leaders of Tomorrow mentorship program at the 60th Global Insurance Forum.

Scheduled for Nov. 17-19 at the Hyatt Regency Miami, the event will feature an awards ceremony and a panel discussion with the RGA Leaders of Tomorrow Class of 2024 and program alumni.

RGA is the 2024 Global Insurance Forum Gold Partner and sponsor of the RGA Leaders of Tomorrow program. This initiative aims to support insurance professionals with executive leadership potential.

Participants collaborate with senior executive mentors to address strategic issues, explore deeper engagement across business functions, and expand global peer connections. Mentees, on the other hand, publish and present original papers as part of the program.

While all candidates are acknowledged as future leaders, one will receive the RGA Leaders of Tomorrow Award. Additionally, three candidates will join the “Insights from Future Leaders on Industry Challenges and Opportunities” panel at the Global Insurance Forum.

Josh Landau (pictured above left), president of the IIS, stated that the RGA Leaders of Tomorrow program has been instrumental in developing industry talent through mentorship and executive engagement.

“This partnership highlights RGA’s steadfast commitment to talent development as a core priority and their contribution to ensuring the sustainability and collective success of the industry by nurturing its future leaders,” Landau said.

Tony Cheng (pictured above right), president and CEO of RGA, said that RGA’s decade-long sponsorship of the program underscores its dedication to nurturing talent within the global insurance industry.

“The program provides a vital platform for identifying and cultivating the next generation of insurance leaders. Through mentorship, a robust peer network, and targeted skill development, we provide essential resources that enable rising stars to enhance their leadership capabilities. Investing in these future leaders is crucial for the ongoing innovation and success of our industry,” Cheng said.

The anniversary celebration at the Global Insurance Forum will also include an awards ceremony and a panel discussion highlighting the achievements of the 2024 participants and the program’s impact over the past decade.

Industry leaders, mentors, and program alumni will discuss the future of the insurance sector and the importance of nurturing new talent.
