Insurance Business America (IBA) has released its annual list of top insurance networks and alliances in the US for 2024.

This year’s selection was determined through direct input from agents, who assessed their networks based on key business factors.

IBA’s data showed that commissions and profit-sharing remain the top reasons for agents to affiliate with a network. In 2024, 93% of respondents identified these as the main drivers, a significant increase from 81% in 2023.

Selection process for top insurance networks and alliances

IBA conducted a national survey of insurance agents, asking them to evaluate the networks they work with based on a range of performance indicators.

Participants rated their networks on a scale from 1 (poor) to 10 (excellent) across the following categories:

access to insurance companies and products
commissions and profit-sharing agreements
availability of niche and non-traditional markets
marketing and business development support
education and training opportunities
administrative support services
access to technology tools
business advisory and consulting services
succession and perpetuation planning
discounts from third-party vendors

Networks earning an average score of 8 or higher in any single category were awarded a 5-star rating. Those that reached or exceeded the 8-point mark across all categories received the All-Star designation.
