Qatar Insurance Company (QIC), an insurer in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, has launched an edutainment branch at KidzMondo Doha, situated within the Mall of Qatar.

This initiative aims to introduce children to the essentials of the insurance sector and its various components, such as customer service, financial planning, and risk assessment, through a series of interactive experiences.

What to expect from the QIC edutainment branch

In the branch, youngsters will have the opportunity to step into the shoes of industry professionals like underwriters, customer service representatives, and claims adjusters, thereby acquiring a foundational understanding of how insurance functions.

As a reward for their participation, children will earn Kidlars, the theme park’s official currency, which they can spend throughout the mini city.

Ahmed Al Jarboey, chief operating officer for Qatar operations at QIC, emphasised the importance of this initiative.

“Our new partnership with KidzMondo Doha comes as part of our insurance literacy initiatives, and in line with QIC’s core social responsibility vision to empower the younger generation in Qatar, and be part of their growth journey towards becoming true leaders in the future,” he said. “We are confident that our presence at KidzMondo Doha will be a remarkable contribution to the edutainment offerings of the theme park.”

Al Jarboey encouraged parents to visit the new facility, allowing their children to learn about insurance in a lively and engaging setting.
