Q Underwriting Faith Combined broker product FAQs answered
Authored by Q Underwriting
Here at Q Underwriting we place our brokers at the forefront of our business and we know how important your understanding of our offering is.
It is for this reason, that we have provided the answers to some of your frequently asked questions in relation to our Faith combined insurance product…
Q. How long does it take to get a quotation?
A. We can generally provide terms within 48 hours. More complex risks, and listed buildings may take a little longer.
Q. Can you cover all faiths?
A. Yes, we are able to provide cover for all faiths and denominations, and rather than having special rates for specific faiths, we treat all presentations on an equal basis.
Q. Our current insurer requires that all of our external metalwork is protected by Smartwater or something similar. Do you also require this?
A. We do not have any requirements for any forensic marking system and will cover theft or attempted theft up to £25,000 without it being in place. If you choose to have forensic marking then we will cover theft of external metalwork, and any subsequent damage, with no internal limits applied.
Q. Do we need to have a fixed place of worship?
A. Not at all. We do cover churches, synagogues, mosques and their madrassahs, and other permanent places of worship, but we can cover fellowships, and worship groups using hired premises.
Q. We have recent purchased a new property and need to renovate before moving in. Can you still provide cover for the building whilst it’s being refurbished?
A. We can still cover the organisation, and depending upon the circumstances we may be able to cover the unoccupied property. If the renovations are minor and the property is likely to be occupied within a few months, then we should be able to provide cover whilst it’s being refurbished.
