Allianz Commercial has brought in Priscilla Pazmino-Vitela (pictured) as natural resources hub lead for the Americas.

Pazmino-Vitela will oversee the company’s natural resources underwriting teams across North and Latin America. She will report to Anthony Vassallo, global head of natural resources, with a matrix reporting line to Tracy Ryan, president and chief executive for North and Latin America.

Based in Los Angeles, the key hire joined from AIG where she was recently head of multinational energy for North America. Her background includes over two decades in commercial insurance, with a focus on energy, retail, construction, and technical risks.

“Priscilla has an exceptional track record within the global natural resources industry and is well-respected for her market strategy and product knowledge,” Vassallo said.

“I am confident she will make an immediate and impactful contribution to drive our approach in North and Latin America as we support our clients on their energy transition journeys.”

The appointment also allows Darren Tasker, who had been temporarily managing the natural resources hub for the Americas, to refocus on his primary role as construction hub lead for the region.

Tasker will collaborate with Pazmino-Vitela to support Allianz’s clients in the energy sector, especially as the industry continues its shift toward more sustainable practices.

“Together, Priscilla and Darren will ensure delivery of consistent, integrated support and expertise to our valued clients and broker-partners across the region,” Vassallo said.
