Orion180 has expanded its homeowners insurance services to Arizona, marking its first foray into the western United States, as part of the company’s broader strategy to develop a comprehensive national presence.

In Arizona, Orion180 Select Insurance Co, an admitted insurance carrier based in Indiana, will address the specific needs of homeowners.

Kenneth Gregg, CEO and founder of Orion180, shared his views on the company’s growth as it further expands its operations during unprecedented times in the industry.

“Our expansion into Arizona signifies a critical step forward in our strategic efforts to serve a national customer base. This is our inaugural entry into the western US, and it accentuates our planned expansion into Florida, Ohio, and several other markets in need. We are committed to providing innovative, reliable insurance solutions in new and diverse markets,” Gregg said.

Gregg also highlighted the strategic importance of the Arizona market and the opportunity it represents for the insurer.

“Arizona is not just a new market for us; it represents a bridge to broader national coverage and a testament to our adaptability and determination to meet the evolving needs of homeowners across America. We are eager to establish a robust presence in Arizona and look forward to building lasting partnerships with homeowners and independent agents within the state,” he said.

Operating through its two insurance entities, Orion180 currently serves Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Indiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The company offers insurance solutions through Orion180 Select in non-coastal areas and Orion180 Insurance Co in coastal regions, with coverage specifics varying by state.

In January, the insurer announced its expansion into Georgia and Indiana through independent agency distribution partners in the states, marking its expansion in the South and Midwest.

“Some of these areas still feel the adverse impact of weather disasters, claims incidents and reduced underwriting capacity for homeowners’ insurance,” Gregg said. “Orion180’s robust financial resources, substantial reinsurance support and sound underwriting practices allow us to bring these markets a premier insurance experience for customers and independent agent partners.”
