Beyond Risk’s partner company Origin Specialty Underwriters Agency, which specialises in innovative risk solutions, has acquired Agricultural Insurance Management Services (AIMS), an agribusiness insurance-focused managing general underwriter.
The acquisition supports the Beyond Risk mission to partner with “exceptional teams and markets” to offer diverse program underwriting and alternative risk financing solutions, Origin Specialty said in a Thursday announcement.
AIMS was founded by industry veteran Clark Lindley to address the need for quality agribusiness insurance solutions.
Lindley began underwriting policies in-house in 2000 while expanding the company’s agricultural agent network. Now, AIMS is providing insurance solutions to farms, ranches, equine operations, estate farms, and commercial growers of agricultural products.
Its solutions include various farm-related coverages such as homes, barns, farm equipment, auto, and liability.
In a statement, Lindley said Origin Specialty’s approach to program underwriting, carrier and reinsurance partnerships and products, distribution relationships, and operational platform will allow AIMS to expand the distribution of its existing offerings while adding new solutions for clients and agents.
Origin Specialty president Neno Djordjevic said he was impressed with AIMS’ underwriting capabilities and customer service.
“Their long-standing agent and carrier partner relationships match our ethos at Origin Specialty, and we are excited to continue to grow with the AIMS team, reaching a broader network of agents and brokers together,” Djordjevic said.
