New Zealand-based insurance brokerage Coversure has been honoured with the Outstanding Life Changers Award by Feed Hungry Minds, a charitable organisation in the Philippines.

The award acknowledges Coversure’s support over the past two years, which has contributed to feeding more than 50,000 children throughout the country.

Arpie Patriarca, the founder of Feed Hungry Minds, emphasised the impact of Coversure’s involvement during a time of increased need.

“[Coversure CEO Jason Venu] and his team came to us when we were struggling to feed so many children. His help extends beyond financial support,” he said, highlighting that Venu takes the time to help distribute food alongside Feed Hungry Minds volunteers whenever he is in the Philippines.

Coversure’s CEO, Jason Venu, has actively participated in several food distribution missions as part of the company’s hands-on approach to addressing child hunger.

Commenting on the recognition, Venu said receiving the award was humbling. He emphasised that the real honour belongs to Feed Hungry Minds members, who are making a real difference every day.

“We are just fortunate to be in a position to help, thanks to our clients and business partners. Seeing the smiles on the children’s faces and the hope it brings them is reward enough,” he added.

The award highlights Coversure’s ongoing commitment to community engagement, not only in New Zealand but also internationally. The company has been actively involved in philanthropic efforts to support vulnerable communities.

The office is staffed by a local Filipino team and works closely with financial advisers based in New Zealand. This expansion is designed to improve service efficiency and better serve Coversure’s clients in both markets.

Venu noted that this new office supports the brokerage’s growth strategy while also helping introduce new talent into the insurance sector.

“From a business point of view, it’s an opportunity for us as a business to grow,” he previously told Insurance Business. “It’s also an opportunity for us to help elevate people into our industry who wouldn’t see this as a career.”

The new Makati office aligns with Coversure’s broader vision of scaling its operations while providing improved services and creating opportunities for industry newcomers. This move is part of the company’s continued focus on both business growth and community impact across the Asia-Pacific region.
