Lloyd Sadd, a Navacord broker partner, has partnered with Optimax Benefits.

Optimax is an employee benefits firm focused on serving small to medium-sized businesses. Based in Edmonton, it was founded in 1998 by Earl Shindruk. It has since become a well-known brokerage in its community, with a significant portion of its clientele being nonprofit organizations.

“We chose Lloyd Sadd as our partner because our synergies as two local Edmonton-based brokerages, both tremendously dedicated to our clients and communities, will allow us to grow even stronger and service our clients even better,” said Shindruk.

“We’re excited to welcome Optimax Benefits to Lloyd Sadd and continue to bolster our services as a primary benefits, retirement, and consulting firm in Edmonton,” added Ross Langford, president, of consulting.

News of Lloyd Sadd’s latest partnership comes after it had merged with Toole Peet, another Navacord broker partner. A news release announcing the merger in June characterized the deal as “a significant milestone in the Alberta insurance market.”

Lloyd Sadd noted that it is continuing to build a “multi-line insurance powerhouse in Edmonton and throughout Western Canada.”

“We are pleased to welcome CIS to the Navacord group, which will position us well to capitalise on expanding our value proposition for our clients,” said Navacord president and CEO Shawn DeSantis earlier this month.
