Seasoned leader keen to address “some of Canada’s biggest challenges”

Wilkens’ credentials include nearly three decades with Munich Re. He began his career at the reinsurer in 1995 as a casualty facultative underwriter. In 2000, he moved to Munich Re of Africa before returning to Munich to take on the role of senior underwriter for customized reinsurance solutions.

By 2008, Wilkens was appointed client management executive, with him leading the client management team for non-life reinsurance in the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, and the Nordic countries.

With his extensive background in underwriting and client management, Wilkens has consistently demonstrated his ability to cultivate strong, sustainable relationships with clients and brokers.
