MS Reinsurance has named Andy Hottinger (pictured above) as the new head of property and casualty (P&C) for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) regions.
Hottinger, who has two decades of experience in reinsurance underwriting, will spearhead the company’s expansion and operational strategies across these markets.
Previously, Hottinger held the position of president of EMEA & Latin America at Axis Re, where he led non-life underwriting teams focused on core P&C and specialty lines of business. His leadership roles have covered a broad geographical spectrum, including significant responsibilities in both the EMEA and Latin American regions.
Hottinger’s background also includes senior underwriting positions in engineering, where he developed skills in business development, team leadership, and customer engagement.
Based in the Zurich office, Hottinger will report to Joerg Bruniecki, the CUO International of MS Reinsurance. His role will focus on enhancing the company’s service delivery and market reach in both established and burgeoning markets within the EMEA region.
“I am delighted to welcome Andy to our team,” Bruniecki said. “His deep market expertise and excellent reputation will help us to expand our customer-centric approach, provide an exceptional experience for our valued partners, and strengthen our growing, global underwriting team.”
Hottinger’s appointment is part of MS Reinsurance’s strategic initiative to bolster its leadership team and expand its presence in key global markets.
