Mercury Insurance has announced that it will continue to sponsor the Anaheim Ducks for the 2023-24 NHL season.

The season will mark both Mercury’s ninth consecutive year of sponsoring the Ducks and the team’s 30th anniversary.

“Our partnership with the Anaheim Ducks has generated a tremendous amount of goodwill in the community over our nearly decade-long relationship,” said Erik Thompson, vice president and chief marketing officer for Mercury Insurance. “We are proud to continue this great sponsorship and look forward to celebrating the team’s monumental 30th season alongside passionate Ducks fans.”

The nine-year collaboration has resulted in several successful campaigns, such as Mercury’s “Community Champions” and the in-stadium “Dance Cam,” Mercury said.

This season, as part of its “My First Game” campaign, Mercury will collaborate with the Anaheim Ducks Foundation, the team’s charitable arm. The foundation will identify fans who have never attended a Ducks game and Mercury Insurance will provide them with tickets, jerseys and dinner. The fans will also be introduced to the crowd during the game. The season’s initial “My First Game” honoree is 12-year-old Jason Toner, who was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer earlier this year.

Mercury will also continue its “My First Game” video series, in which players reminisce about the first game they played for the Ducks. Fans can watch the series on Mercury’s website.

“We are excited to drop the puck on this historic season,” said Graham Siderius, vice president of corporate partnerships for the Anaheim Ducks. “Anaheim has been our home for the last 30 years thanks to the unwavering support of our fans and partners like Mercury Insurance.”
