Meet the insurtech: ProNavigator

ProNavigator, a purpose-built SaaS knowledge management platform, has a goal to provide accurate information in seconds. The company recently expanded its AI-powered knowledge management system, Sage, which stores, manages and searches business-critical insurance information to support commercial lines property & casualty insurers.

Joseph D’Souza, founder and CEO of ProNavigator, said the company was born out of a belief that insurance could be easier, faster and more convenient for consumers.

“In 2016, I remember calling my insurance carrier and after hours, multiple operators later, and some frustration, I noticed the challenges insurance had and I wanted to create a platform with simplicity,” D’Souza said.

Sage’s machine learning is trained on specific insurance knowledge, to understand the type of queried front-line insurance professionals use and retrieves complete and accurate information within seconds. With accurate answers received instantly and automating workflows. The platform enables ProNavigator’s clients to outperform companies that still rely on legacy approaches to knowledge management because of how knowledge is learned from every user interaction and each document.

Using ProNavigator’s SaaS platform, commercial insurers and agents can benefit from immediate time and cost savings, a central location to find business-critical insurance information and flexible, AI-trained search options that deliver relevant results in seconds.

“Information is the lifeblood of insurance, but too often it does not flow fast enough to meet the demands of the business – resulting in lost time, missed revenue opportunities and lowered productivity,” D’souza said.

ProNavigotor was one of 12 startups selected for BrokerTech Ventures in 2020 working side-by-side with a veteran mentoring network, receiving seed funding for a portion of the company’s research and testing, and gaining access to a distribution platform to deploy the solutions. The company was also selected as a 2021 winner for Best Service Provider – Insurtech in the sixth annual Insurance Business Canada Awards.

“Getting that recognition for what we do, especially while working remote, allows our hard work to really feel noticed. The validation is indeed a great milestone for the company and our team,” D’Souza said.
