McLardy McShane has wrapped up the second iteration of its UK Tour, a venture considered to be a significant feat for the company. The tour, which ended in Dublin on Sunday, followed a similar fruitful run in 2023.
A news release stated that the 2024 tour saw 14 members from the group’s network visiting London for four days before heading to Dublin for a five-day programme. The itinerary was packed with professional and educational events aimed at enhancing industry knowledge and fostering international connections.
Highlights of the tour included a visit to Lloyd’s of London, a key player in the global insurance market. The group also participated in educational sessions with various London-based underwriters and brokers.
In Dublin, they engaged in a workshop with the Soar Foundation, a community partner of McLardy McShane, and attended the inaugural McLardy McShane London Cocktail Party.
Don McLardy, CEO of McLardy McShane, praised the tour’s success and the opportunities it provided. “We’ve had a brilliant time over here with our team of 14,” McLardy said.
“Visiting Lloyd’s was obviously a highlight, and Mike McShane and I have found it very humbling to watch our people represent the company so professionally with other brokers, underwriters, and the broader public over here.”
McLardy emphasised the tour’s role in rewarding employees and fostering professional growth. “The tour provides an opportunity for us to reward some of the efforts our McMc people are putting in, so we look forward to cementing this trip as an annual event on our company calendar,” he said.
McLardy also noted the increasing recognition of the McLardy McShane name in London. “The McLardy McShane name is becoming known in London, and we have no doubt many opportunities are going to open up for us in the future for the benefit of the broader group.”
