MAXIS Global Benefits Network (MAXIS GBN) has appointed Tamara Truta Amizic (pictured above) as regional business development manager for the Western United States and Latin America, as part of its Americas Business Development team.

In her new role, Amizic will oversee outbound business in these regions and lead the existing team, collaborating closely with MAXIS’ clients and partners.

Amizic brings over 20 years of experience in global employee benefits, with a background in sales strategy, global relationship management, and business development. Prior to joining MAXIS GBN, she was with MetLife, one of MAXIS’ shareholder companies.

At MetLife, she led select customer relationships within National Accounts and pursued new business relationships. Between 2017 and 2020, as global sales and strategy director at MetLife, she facilitated collaboration between MetLife US and its global businesses.

This appointment marks Amizic’s second tenure at MAXIS GBN. From 2010 to 2017, she served as a senior sales executive, managing and expanding employee benefits portfolios for pooling and captive clients in the US Midwest and West regions. Her career began at AIG in 2002, where she held sales and account management roles.

Originally from Croatia, Amizic moved to the US in 1996. She attended Temple University on a tennis scholarship, serving as team captain, and earned a BA in Finance, Risk Management and Insurance, and International Business.

“I’m delighted to be rejoining MAXIS GBN and leading outbound business development across the West US and LATAM regions. I’m excited to build on my global employee benefits experience and work with the team at MAXIS GBN and our network members to help some of the world’s largest multinationals provide the benefits their people need,” Amizic said.
