Lockton has announced the immediate appointment of three professionals to enhance its insurance expertise and expand its capabilities.

Lewis Parle, with a background in intellectual property risk, has been appointed to lead client solutions in this domain. Parle joins Lockton from Icen Risk, where he spearheaded a transactional IP risk team. He brings with him a wealth of experience in utilizing innovative IP insurance solutions to facilitate transactions and investments involving some of the globe’s most prominent businesses.

Parle will operate from London and focus on servicing international risks. His responsibilities include the development of specialized IP and transactional insurance products and solutions, aimed at helping clients effectively manage and mitigate IP risks.

Laura Patrick has been appointed as producer and due diligence project manager, having previously served at Artex. In her previous role, she oversaw the insurance needs of a portfolio of captive insurance and market-facing reinsurance accounts.

Lauren McKay will lead business development efforts for Lockton’s transactional risk real estate team. Coming from CBRE, she led business development and client solutions for real estate investors and landlords before joining Lockton.

“These hires are testament to the impressive growth our transactional risks team has undergone in the last few years. Their skills, knowledge and experience ensure we can continue developing market-first solutions to meet clients’ increasingly challenging and interwoven risks. Our team and clients will benefit immensely from both Lewis, Laura and Lauren’s invaluable insight and years of experience as we look to realize our ambitious growth trajectory,” said Harry Blakelock, Lockton transactional risk head.

“I was eager to join Lockton due to the firm’s ongoing commitment to innovation and impeccable client service. I am looking forward to continuing to evolve its offering and bring new, bespoke IP solutions to a range of clients across the world,” Parle said.

Elsewhere for the independent brokerage, Lockton recently announced the appointment of Tom Rowley as the new head of North American property for its Europe division, based in London.
