Lockton Re has announced the appointment of Mark Wilkinson as international head of analytics, to be based at the reinsurance business’ London office.

Wilkinson brings with him over twenty-five years of experience in the (re)insurance industry. He most recently held the position of head of UK actuarial at Aon. Prior to that, he served as head of actuarial at Aon Global Re Specialty, having joined the actuarial team in 2008.

According to LinkedIn, he has also held significant roles at Guy Carpenter, QBE (Limit Underwriting), and HSBC Insurance Brokers. He is a fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and a recognised expert in his field.

“We remain very active with RFPs as well as having a substantial renewal portfolio so it will be excellent to have someone of Mark’s calibre to add further expertise and support to the team,” said Robert Bisset, Lockton Re chairman of global retrocession and property specialty for Bermuda and market capital. “Our highly analytical approach is very well received by clients, prospects, and markets across the globe, and we will continue to focus on this important part of Lockton Re.”

“We have experienced fast paced growth over the last four years in terms of our team, our capabilities, and our clients. Analytics remains at the core of this success, and we will continue to invest in this important area, welcoming market leading talent like Mark to the team. We all look forward to working with him as we continue on this exciting journey,” Lockton Re International CEO Heith Harrison said.
