Kaplansky Insurance has expanded its Massachusetts footprint with the acquisition of Framingham-based WT Flynn Insurance.

WT Flynn Insurance dates back to 1955. It provides insurance sales and services to residents and businesses across Massachusetts, serving a broad clientele in Framingham and its surrounding areas, including Natick, Ashland, Holliston, Hopkinton, Wayland, and Sudbury.

Ely Kaplansky, president and CEO of Kaplansky Insurance, commented on the acquisition in an emailed statement and said they were “excited” to welcome WT Flynn Insurance into the business.

“Their longstanding commitment to quality service and underwriting excellence perfectly aligns with our values,” said Kaplansky.

Kaplansky promises “seamless transition” amid M&A deal

As part of the acquisition, the operations of WT Flynn Insurance will be integrated into Kaplansky Insurance’s existing framework.

The agency won’t retain its current physical location. However, Kaplansky did assure existing clients that there will be “a seamless transition and continued access to the exceptional service they have come to expect.”

Kaplansky Insurance is headquartered in Needham, Massachusetts. Its swoop for WT Flynn Insurance comes as part of a broader growth strategy that involves acquiring reputable agencies.

Last November, the company made its 43rd acquisition. It snapped up Archetype Insurance Group, an agency based in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Aside from its Massachusetts footprint, Kaplansky also maintains a presence in Rhode Island and has a total of 17 locations across New England.
