Both my husband and I got term life from Haven life. We recently had a baby girl and we wanted to make sure she’s protected financially if something were to happen to us. He got his first then i got mine after seeing how quick and simple the process was. We are both healthy adults in our late 20s so it was fairly simple and easy to get approved. The price is fair. Term life provides peace of mind for trajedy as we continue to build our wealth. We plan to be self insured when our term expires. I would recommend this company.

I love the process through Haven Life, as the application was easy to complete, and the medical exam was done at a facility near my home. Customers also have the option to have the medical examiner visit their home; however, I preferred to visit a nearby lab. Finally, I got a fair price for a 30-year term life insurance with Mass Mutual. I am delighted because the process was easy, and the underwriter did not make a huge issue like other insurance companies I have tried in the past, and the whole process took less than a week to complete. I am at peace know that should something happen to me; my family will be covered.

The website is easy to review. Coverage level I requested meant testing. That was a little clunky due to communication between their 3rd party, but haven life agents were timely with email communication. Overall the rate was a little higher than expected, but glad to have the insurance. Really liked using the slider to determine the final coverage. After policy issued, website shows a new perk so come so looking forward to seeing what that is about

Overall customer experience was exceptional. Customer Service agent (Qianqian) exceeded my expectation in assisting me with resolving a rate issues-expertise, product knowledge, timeliness and follow-through were A+.

The whole process was easy though filling out the form was long. It was great to know I was given options to increase the amount and the terms. The monthly premium was reasonable though I was expecting a lower rate. But I like that I got approved after so many denied applications from different companies. The customer service and the correspondence was great as well!!! I would say I found a haven in your company, really!

I had several problems with my Haven experience, which was especially unfortunate because I chose Haven based on its customer service reputation.

First, after I submitted my application online, I was told that an immediate quote couldn’t be provided and I would receive one within a few business days. After a week with no follow-up from Haven, I contacted them and only then did they realize they never provided a quote.

Second, the first available appointment for the medical exam was more than three weeks after I finally received a quote.

Then, the person sent to take my blood sample called 45 minutes before the appointment and said she couldn’t make it, causing me to waste a half-day of vacation time. The woman was unable to reschedule for several days, and then arrived late on the second date.

Finally, Haven increased my quote 50% after the medical exam. Haven said this was because of a history of gestational diabetes, but I had already disclosed that history prior to the initial quote so that was not new information and should have been factored into the initial quote. Furthermore, I’m a nurse practitioner and my A1C was the best I’ve ever seen, so the history of gestational diabetes was not indicative of any worry regarding developing true diabetes within the policy term.

For a company that sells itself based on customer service and easy applications, I found Haven to be quite the opposite.

After signing up for the health exam, and proactively calling to confirm the appointment – the person scheduled to conduct the exam was a no-show. After calling back to see what happened was told that the person scheduled was actually not working that day. A waste of an entire work day and inconvenience of having to fast. Haven Life’s response was sending me around a circle of auto responses with no resolution after multiple attempts on my part. I have since found another life insurance provider who was a much better fit and no health exam was required due to my demographic information.

Haven life insurance has good prices and make it easy to sign up, my complaint is their referral process. I was referred to them by my father and their referral offer to him was not honored even though I used his link. I did this for my Dad then I saw their prices and it is really affordable so I am happy with them except I never would have even signed up without my Dad referring me. They should do what they say and give out referral bonuses otherwise people like me would never know how good of a life insurance company they are !!!

I’m recently new to Haven Life. I just had my meeting with a medical examiner recently and I need to go on record about the experience. I live in Brooklyn and as sent to the Midwood neighborhood (1222 Avenue M was the address, I believe). I arrived to my appointment and it was a shared office with 4 people all at computers not wearing masks (indoors! in a PANDEMIC!!) and not social distancing. I froze and stood in the entryway with my mask on until I was told which private office I could enter. My medical examiner was laughing with another medical examiner about a third medical examiner who used the wrong needle for a blood draw on a different patient. The environment, the behavior of the medical examiners and the experience therewith was appalling. What are your protocols for medical examiners? How do you enforce them? Because this office and my experience was atrocious. Please contact me to continue the conversation.

The rate offerings of Haven Life are extremely competitive, and the actual insurance underwriting process from beginning to medical notifications, scheduling and receiving the policy is robust. But the user experience within the website is absolutely atrocious. The website is a nightmare to navigate. Although I would love to recommend Haven Life as a company, I wouldn’t dare asking any person to navigate that buggie website.
