Auckland-headquartered JAVLN has made additions to its leadership roster following a year of growth and expansion in the Australian market.

The insurtech firm announced in a release that it has tapped Rosalie Lau as group chief financial officer and Peter Waring as group chief technology officer.

Lau assumes her new role with over 30 years of experience in senior financial management positions. She most recently served as chief financial officer of Resilium, which is part of The Ardonagh Group.

As group chief financial officer of JAVLN, Lau will take charge of overseeing financial operations and implementing scalable systems to support the company’s growth.

Waring takes on his new role with over 26 years of experience in the technology sector, including working with Fortune 500 companies and startups.

At JAVLN, Waring will lead the firm’s technological direction while focusing on product development across its portfolio, including the OfficeTech and Underwriter Central brands.

Dale Smith, CEO of JAVLN, welcomed the new executives and said their extensive experience was crucial for the company’s ongoing mission to support insurance brokers through technology.

“It’s an honour to welcome Rosalie and Peter to the JAVLN leadership team as we focus on growing our presence in Australia and beyond,” said Smith. “They bring a wealth of experience that will enable us to continue our mission of being a technology enabler for insurance brokers, helping them become more productive, ensure compliance and make informed decisions.”

Lau also commented on her appointment, stating that she was drawn to join JAVLN due to “the tremendous opportunities it has to offer insurance brokers and underwriting agencies.”

“Seeing how technology can increase efficiency, improve customer service and drive compliance in a landscape that is becoming ever more complex — that’s a critical industry challenge that JAVLN is addressing,” she said. “It’s my pleasure to join the team at this pivotal time to further support in achieving that mission.”

Waring said that he was eager to contribute to JAVLN’s growth.

“JAVLN is a high-growth, Australasian tech success story with a clear value proposition that is future-proofing the insurance industry,” he said. “I look forward to using the experience I’ve gained with its next stage of growth, building on the incredible success that’s already been achieved by the team.”
