HSB launches new engineering inspection and equipment breakdown e-trade products
HSB has launched two new specialist engineering and technology products on their e-trade platformsThe move is designed to make trading engineering inspection services and equipment breakdown risks easier for brokers
HSB (UK and Ireland), the specialist engineering and technology insurer, has launched two specialist engineering and technology products on their UK e-trade platforms, further extending their suite of e-trade products available to brokers.
The latest products, which are available on Acturis and HSB’s own trading portal: HSB Fast Track, are aimed at making it easier for brokers to trade engineering inspection and equipment breakdown risks.
HSB’s Inspection Services product, serviced via HSB’s network of engineer surveyors, provides businesses with periodic engineering inspections to comply with applicable health and safety legislation.
HSB’s Machinery and Technology Combined product provides insurance cover for equipment breakdown risks. The product is designed to also include inspection services; offering customers combined protection for their equipment assets.
Martin Parker, Head of Digital Trading at HSB, said: “Periodic engineering inspections of workplace plant, machinery and equipment form a vital part of an employer’s duty to ensure conformity to health and safety regulatory requirements. However, engineering inspection services can be seen as complex and time-consuming to trade by brokers. HSB’s e-trade products are designed to make this process simpler by enabling brokers to select equipment, quote and bind with ease.”
HSB has been investing in online trading since 2019 to make its products more convenient for brokers to trade. It has continued to develop and add products since launching and now offers construction, computer, equipment breakdown and inspection products.
Martin continued: “The launch of these two products further demonstrates our commitment to making engineering insurance and inspection products easier to trade.”
