Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has announced investment of £35million in grassroots cricket facilities and widening access to the sport within schools. This annoucement was made the morning of the county cricket season starting, and on the precipise of the UK hosting Men and Women T20 Wolrd Cup. The funding is aimed to get 930,000 young people into cricket over the next five years. It comes as part of the government’s mission to get 3.5million adults and children physically active by 2030.

ECB County Grants Fund
The County Grants Fund aims to support affiliated cricket clubs to create welcoming environments, provide enhanced facilities and playing opportunities, and to help clubs tackle the impact of climate change.
The scheme is open to all ECB affiliated cricket clubs in England and Wales.
Club Insure Refer and Reward Scheme
Between 1st January and 31st March each year, Club Insure are entering every new cricket club client into a competition where they each have the chance to win a £250 club grant. Runners up will receive a £100 club grant which they can choose to spend on cricket equipment or improving their cabbage patch.

The England and Wales Cricket Trust (EWCT) Interest Free Loan Scheme provides finance to clubs for capital projects to help them build and ensure a sustainable future.
