How Haven Life Plus makes spring less hard

From better sleep to spring cleaning, Haven Life’s Plus rider makes Spring easy

Ah, the start of spring. That relaxing time of year … except for allergies … making spring break plans … amid a global pandemic … oh, and that time change right in the middle, that one that wrecks your sleep (and your kids’). At least there’s baseball. Maybe.

Anyway, fear not. Because we’re into making life easier, we’ve identified ways to help. They come via the bag of goodies (OK, partner services) that are available with Haven Life Plus, our no-cost rider available to eligible Haven Life customers.

Read on to find out how Plus can make spring less hard (and therefore more fun).

It helps you get back out there

After months of exercising indoors, it’s nice to get back outside, but it brings challenges. When you’re in the gym it’s easy to work out, and there are people on hand to help, but when you’re al fresco, away from machines, it can be hard to figure out what an optimal sweat session looks like. Aaptiv makes it simple. The exercise app is spectacularly well-stocked with all kinds of outdoor workouts, from gentle strolls to far-from-gentle strength building routines. Aaptiv usually costs $100 a year, but eligible Haven Life customers get it for no cost.

It battles stress

Spring should be a time of levity — the weather’s nice, there’s fun stuff to do outdoors, there are cute baby birds flying around… But it’s harder to enjoy those things if you have nagging worries at the back of your mind, especially worries about certain long-term, death-related tasks.

For example, making sure you obtain financial protection for your loved ones by getting a term life insurance policy. (Haven Life can help with that.) Or making a will or trust. Haven Life Plus can help with that: Trust & Will (usually up to $699; available for no cost to eligible Haven Term policyholders) lets you make a legal will, or establish a trust online, in a surprisingly short space of time.

Once you get that done, finish the job by using Lantern to sort out your end of life planning. Lantern is a service that allows you to document, in as much detail as you like, what you want to happen when you die. Would you like a New Orleans-style jazz funeral? Have you always wanted to be buried at sea? And what should people do about your social media accounts? Lantern (with a $149 value, but available at no cost for eligible Haven Term policyholders) lets you easily answer these and other questions, so you get what you want — and so you don’t inadvertently leave your grieving relatives with a time-sensitive puzzle.

It helps with spring ailments

One person’s pretty flower is another person’s runny nose and stuffy head, all because for many people, spring means allergies. To deal with them fast, use MinuteClinic, a medical clinic at CVS and Target that you can use without an appointment. (You can also use it for telehealth.) MinuteClinic saves you time, and using it through Haven Life Plus saves you money: Eligible  Haven Life policyholders get a discount.

It helps you rest

Spring means longer days, more daylight, a time change, and, if you’re lucky, some kind of spring travel. All of these things can make it harder to get a good night’s sleep, but Timeshifter can help. It’s an anti-jet lag app (based on NASA-backed science), but it can also optimize your sleep schedule wherever you are, be that some far-flung destination or your own home. Timeshifter will usually provide you the gift of sleep for $24.99, but it’s available at no cost for eligible Haven Life customers.

It helps you spring clean

Haven Life Plus won’t actually send someone to your house with cleaning supplies and a talent for organization, but it can help with another kind of spring cleaning. If you want to get your documents organized this spring, LifeSite is for you. It works like an online filing cabinet where you can safely store all kinds of documents, photos, passwords and pretty much anything which can be digitized (which, nowadays, is basically everything). It can even help with taxes.

Lifesite is free to Plus members, $80 otherwise, and you can access it from anywhere, so if you end up needing a document during your spring travels, you’ll have it on hand. (By the way, we go deep on how to do a comprehensive digital spring clean over here.)

So, enjoy spring: Take it easy. We’ll help.

Very easy – seamless process.

Amazing experience with them. Very responsive and best quotes out there. Must have term insurance.

Very happy with the whole process from start to finish on my application. Only area that could be improved is that my wife also applied and was rejected and we did not get a reason. She is a 30 year old female without any existing conditions so I was surprised.

The whole process was seamless and easy. My application for term life insurance was all done online. The rates are fair, and the people at Haven Life seem to genuinely care about their customers.

Best life insurance company.
