Honey Insurance has made it to LinkedIn’s Top Start-ups 2023 – the top 20 startups across Australia.

The annual LinkedIn Top Start-ups list features 20 Australian companies that are growing rapidly and gaining attention, despite facing a myriad of economic and workplace challenges.

LinkedIn’s economic graph team identified the best startups in Australia this year by looking at LinkedIn data across four pillars:

employee growth
jobseeker interest
member engagement within the company and its employees
how well the startups hired talent from the LinkedIn Top Companies list

For this year’s list, the LinkedIn team adjusted the eligibility requirements to feature more companies in their earlier growth stages by lowering the age criteria to five years or younger.

Honey Insurance among the best startups in Australia

Honey ranked 20th best startup in Australia for 2023, with web development, leadership, and development tools highlighted by LinkedIn as the most common skills within the business.

Founded in 2021, Honey is based in Sydney and has 85 employees. It is a home insurance company that provides customers with free sensors to install in their homes to monitor for water leaks, fire, and theft in exchange for cheaper premiums.

“What a big few weeks! Honey Insurance has been recognised as #20 among the Top 20 Start-ups on LinkedIn, a testament to the incredible journey we’ve embarked on together,” Honey wrote on LinkedIn.
