Growing taxi insurance services with new additions

Aime and Amalia

Patons Insurance is continuing its mission to help the taxi-driving community by making sure drivers receive the best-quality services and highest levels of support.

As part of that drive, the family-run taxi insurance broker has made key appointments this year to strengthen the team and make sure it is in a position to grow as it continues to find customers the best deals for public hire insurance and private hire insurance.

Earlier this year, Chris Pracy was appointed in the newly created role of Head of Marketing, Mike Atkinson joined as Finance Manager, and promotions saw Jo Noonan become Operations Director, and Matt Chadwick become Sales Director.

Rosie Gibson was also recognized for her continuing involvement in the wider operations of Patons. Having worked in the business since April, 2007, as an insurance advisor, her role has broadened and she has recently become Operations Manager to ensure the continued smooth running of the business.

Cheryl Doran joined the company in February, 2014 and has managed a variety of different jobs. She has now formally moved into the claims team and assumes the role of Claims Manager.

And Rob Leyland recently joined us as National Taxi Sales Manager.

Now, Patons has added two new faces as it continues its ambitions growth plans, welcoming Amalia Stevenson as marketing assistant and Aime Arzola as business development executive.

Amalia, who joined Patons after leaving university with a degree in digital media and communications, is heavily involved in the company’s social media channels which help keep customers and partners up to date.

Amalia said: “I really enjoy working here and it’s very rewarding that I am getting to put into practice all the skills I learned at university.

“I enjoy working for a growing business that is looking for new opportunities, which is what made Patons stand out for me. I did a lot of video work for my course and I am looking forward to putting that to good use and really being creative.

“I have been made to feel welcome from day one and made to feel like part of the team. There have been a lot of changes in the way the company does things, especially in terms of marketing, and it will help me develop my skills and build my confidence. It is great that as a team we really are involved and can develop together to help Patons grow.”

Aime, who worked in a similar business development role before joining Patons, said: “My previous job involved selling a variety of training courses in lots of different subjects. Now I can focus purely on one thing – taxi insurance – and I can really get to build relationships with taxi drivers as well as taxi bases who could benefit from our expertise and being part of our extended family.

“Everyone in every department has been so welcoming and supportive, especially the sales team, and people are always willing to help if I have any questions.

“My target is to help maintain the growth path of the company and growing on social media platforms such as LinkedIn is vital to that, especially as people are used to working remotely since the pandemic.”

Both Amalia and Amie have been valuable additions to the team and have been a perfect fit for the Patons family.

Head of Marketing Chris said: “When we interviewed for both roles, the standard of candidates was very high and we probably could have employed all of them. But Amalia and Aime both stood out and we knew they would be a good fit with the team.

“It is great to have such enthusiastic members joining the team and helping us move forward. They bring fresh ideas and perspectives that can really help a company like Patons which has people at the heart of everything we do.”
