Green Shield Risk Solutions has announced the deployment of a specialized homeowners’ insurance platform, developed in partnership with INSTANDA. In just over 90 days, this platform has been introduced to facilitate quoting, binding, and managing insurance for affluent homeowners, particularly in states prone to catastrophes.

Green Shield said that it has identified a gap in the property insurance sector and is leveraging substantial amounts of accessible data to enhance policyholder experiences and mitigate risks and losses. The company utilizes data from at least eight distinct sources, focusing on various property risk factors, to underwrite properties exposed to catastrophes.

The company’s emphasis on underwriting accuracy aims to offer more inclusive coverage, bridging the protection gap for regions susceptible to weather-related catastrophes. Powered by INSTANDA’s platform, these solutions can be delivered digitally to policyholders and agents in real time.

“Green Shield is taking a modern approach to risk, maximizing the data and technology available to protect policyholders in a new way,” said Patrick Blankford, founder and CEO of Green Shield. “Being able to introduce this product in 90 days with INSTANDA is just the first of several game-changers to come. The speed enabled by the platform will help us as we continue to expand into new states and introduce product lines to ultimately provide agents and policyholders with the best mix of technology, expertise, and process to protect what matters most to them.”
