Fuse Fleet, an Australian insurance provider, has introduced the country’s first environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reporting tool specifically designed for fleet operators.

The tool, powered by AI technology from data analytics firm Greater Than, enables fleet managers to track and report on their environmental and social impact with precision, according to a report by Fintech Global. The move reflects the growing importance of ESG transparency within the industry.

Simon Donovan, executive general manager of commercial at Fuse Fleet, emphasised the increasing demand for accessible and reliable data on driver safety and sustainability.

“The need for ESG transparency and action is higher than ever, and it’s crucial for fleets to have access to dependable data on these fronts,” Donovan told Fintech Global. “We’re proud to be the first in Australia’s insurance sector to deliver an ESG solution for fleets, streamlining the process of tracking and reporting on sustainability from a mobility perspective.”

Fuse Fleet, which launched in April 2023 through a partnership between DKG Insurance Group and Greater Than, initially focused on offering behaviour-based insurance that rewards safe driving with lower premiums. The new ESG reporting tool builds on this foundation, addressing the shifting priorities of fleet operators, who are increasingly focused on sustainability.

“Fuse Fleet is built on data analytics and innovation, so it’s no surprise to see them pioneering ESG reporting in the Australian insurance market,” said Johan Forseke, head of APAC at Greater Than. “This new solution helps companies reduce their carbon footprint and enhance driver safety, while also benefiting from more competitive insurance pricing.”
