Family activities to do at home!

Family Activities

We have already been in lockdown for several weeks, therefore we may be looking for new ways to keep the whole family entertained. Finding family activities to suit everyone is challenging at the best of times, made even more difficult by the restrictions of lockdown. Have a look at some of our suggestions for some inspiration!

Recreate party games

Some of the highlights of our childhoods will undoubtedly be playing games at parties with our friends. With many celebrations on hold at the moment, why not play these games as a family at home? Remember ‘Pin the Tail on the Donkey’ and ‘Musical Chairs’?

Travel the world’s attractions and museums

We can’t get out and about at the moment or travel, but that shouldn’t stop us seeing some sights from our home. Lots of popular tourist attractions, for example, The Niagara Falls or Times Square New York have live webcams streaming online, so you can visit them from the comfort of your sofa. You can also do virtual tours of many of the world’s museums and galleries online, from The British Museum London to The National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne.

Baking and cooking

Rustle up some tasty treats as a family. From DIY pizzas and simple tray bakes to show stopping cakes, this will be sure to fill an afternoon. This is also the perfect opportunity to get your kids in the kitchen and learn some basic cooking skills.
