EY sponsors InsurtechLIVE 23

Early bird tickets are now on sale for InsurtechLIVE 23, to be hosted by Insurtech Australia (IA) early next year, as principal sponsor EY says insurance startups will increasingly add value to the industry.

InsurtechLIVE 23 will be held on February 15 from noon to 7pm in Sydney at the at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia (MCA). The 2023 event, the second IA has hosted, will see the resumption of offshore visitors.

EY Oceania Partner Andrew Parton says insurance is a part of everyone’s lives just as technology is, and the industry is evolving at a tremendous rate.

“Given the amount of change and disruption happening in our industry at the moment, we couldn’t be happier to support an event like InsurtechLIVE 23, underscoring our commitment to forward-looking thinkers looking to bring about advanced solutions, products and services,” Mr Parton told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

“We see so much value in playing a role in expanding the ecosystem of companies in the insurtech space further with an event like this.”

Technology is playing an increasing role in assessing risk, delivering more tailored insurance propositions and services, and building resiliency and mitigating risk, he says.

“The role of insurtech in this will only continue to grow and deliver even more value in the years to come.”

UK-based Stella Insurance CEO Sam White will address a crowd of around 250 at the event. Further agenda information and keynote speakers will be advised as the event approaches.

“Our insurtechs need to think globally – focused on winning business in Australia but really looking at where their international expansion is,” IA CEO Simone Dossetor recently told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

The event promises “an eventful day full of guest speakers, panel discussions, networking – and coffee,” IA says.

“This event will firmly position Australia on the global insurtech stage. InsurtechLIVE 23 will bring together vision and insights from global and local leaders, spotlighting the insurtech investment environment and the role of technology to enable insurance innovation,” it said.
