Everest Reinsurance has announced the appointment of Mayur Doshi (pictured) as its new head of North America treaty casualty.

Speaking on the appointment, Everest Reinsurance head of North America treaty reinsurance Jiten Voralia spoke of how the firm will benefit from Doshi’s experience.

“Mayur’s business acumen, coupled with the depth of his underwriting expertise makes him the ideal leader to support our continued evolution as a preferred partner,” said Voralia.

“He brings a strong vision for the future of our treaty casualty team that will enhance the business and drive success in the years to come,” he added.

Who is Mayur Doshi?

Prior to joining Everest back in 2019, Doshi was first affiliated with The Navigators Group and managed its treaty and facultative reinsurance purchasing.

Doshi’s experience within the industry also includes roles at Swiss Re and other firms. He spent more than 10 years with Odyssey Reinsurance Company in various positions, with the most recent one being its senior casualty and facultative underwriter.

He received his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Connecticut. Currently, he is as director on the Intermediaries & Reinsurance Underwriters Association (IRUA) board.

Before taking on his new role, Doshi served as the firm’s vice president for US treaty and casualty.

“Mayur is a proven leader whose deep industry expertise will continue to bring the highest level of service and support our clients and brokers need in today’s dynamic casualty market,” said Everest Reinsurance executive vice president and chief operating officer Jill Beggs.
