Global insurance and reinsurance specialist Everest Group has made two senior promotions in its Reinsurance division, with Jill Beggs becoming its Chief Operating Officer, a role that will see her having oversight of the Mt. Logan Re operation at the firm, while Jiten Voralia has been named Head of North America Treaty.

Effective immediately, the promotions further strengthen the reinsurance underwriting operations at Everest Group.

Beggs has been promoted to Reinsurance EVP and Chief Operating Officer of the Division, putting her in charge of managing profitable growth across the worldwide portfolio, including Global Treaty, Facultative, and Specialty reinsurance businesses as well as the firm’s Mt. Logan collateralized sidecar-like vehicle.

The Mt. Logan Re Ltd. third-party capital vehicle, where Everest structures investment opportunities for third-party investors to share in the returns of reinsurance underwriting business, is a key strategic priority for the company and one that it intends to grow.

In her new role, Beggs will continue to report to Jim Williamson, Everest Group COO and Head of Reinsurance.

Beggs had spent the first decade of her underwriting career at Everest and then rejoined the company in 2021, serving as Head of North America Treaty and Global Specialty Reinsurance.

Prior to her rejoining Everest, Beggs spent over two decades at Munich Re, where she led U.S. treaty and facultative programs across multiple lines of business and spearheaded a range of firm-wide innovation initiatives.

“Jill is a consummate leader whose deep experience and collaborative approach have consistently raised the bar for both the reinsurance market and Everest’s business,” explained Williamson. “Along with our outstanding leadership team, I look forward to working with Jill in her expanded role as we further strengthen our preferred lead market position and continue to deliver on our strategic objectives.”

Meanwhile, Jiten Voralia has been promoted to Head of North America Treaty Reinsurance, putting him in charge of leading the treaty reinsurance business across the United States, Bermuda and Canada.

Voralia will report to Beggs in his new role and will continue to lead Everest’s North America Treaty Casualty business until a successor is named.

Voralia had joined Everest in 2022 in the role of Reinsurance Head of Treaty Casualty & Surety. He has over two decades of reinsurance industry experience, having previously served in various domestic and global leadership roles at Swiss Re, most recently as Head of U.S. Globals Casualty Treaty Underwriting.

“Jill and Jiten embody the collaborative, high-performing culture that distinguishes Everest in the market and makes us home to the industry’s best talent,” Juan C. Andrade, Everest President and CEO commented on the news. “Their well-deserved promotions are a testament to the strength of Everest’s leadership team and success of our reinsurance business, which continues to deliver vital protection and exceptional value to our stakeholders.”
