Everest Insurance, the insurance division of Everest Re Group, has announced the appointment of Bruno Laval as chief commercial officer for its international division, effective June 26.

“Bruno is a seasoned leader in property and casualty across Europe and Latin America and a strong addition to our senior team,” said Adam Clifford, co-lead of Everest Insurance International.

“With his deep expertise and strong client relationships, Bruno will be instrumental to increasing our global market penetration and identifying new and meaningful ways to engage with clients as we continue to scale our business.”

In his new role, Laval will be responsible for developing and executing Everest’s international market and distribution strategy.

Laval has more than three decades of industry experience. Prior to joining Everest, he served as a partner and advisory board member at iMeureka. He also held key positions at AXA XL, including regional manager for the European growth markets and chief distribution officer for Europe, Asia, and the Pacific. He has also held various leadership roles at XL Catlin.

“We look forward to partnering with Bruno as we continue to enhance and support our growing global distribution network,” said Jason Keen, co-lead of Everest Insurance International.

“Bruno’s diverse industry experience across business development, operations, and underwriting, coupled with his proven ability to increase profitable growth, will be extremely valuable as we expand our offering in new local markets.”
